She was born December 21, 1921, in Birchwood to Marie (Von Garment) and Hendrich Visser.
Ann married Robert L. “Bob” Shilts on July 28, 1940, at the Church of Christ in Chippewa Falls. They moved to Milwaukee in 1941, where they lived until moving back to Chippewa Falls in 1978. She was a dedicated member of Church of Christ in Eau Claire. She loved to fish and camp and do embroidery work. She was a loving mother and faithful servant to her family and her Lord.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Bob, of Lake Hallie; a daughter, Carolyn (Richard) Buettner of Greenfield; two sons, Robert “Bob” (Ingrid) Shilts Jr. of Hubertus and Tim (Lori) Shilts of Waukesha; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Knudtson of Fall Creek, Jane Loiselle of West Allis, Joanne (Robert) Hoover of Chippewa Falls; a brother, Harry Visser of Tucson, Ariz.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Bardina Visser, Dorothy Malosh, Wilhelmina “Billie” Bollom; and two brothers, Peter and William Visser.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 9, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls, with Pastor Bill Marshall of the Church of Christ, Eau Claire, officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and until the time of service Monday at the funeral chapel.
