Ruby Lorene Cleghorn, 76, of Greenville, died Friday at Briarcliff Health Center. Funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Daw officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born in Merit on Aug. 13, 1928, she was the daughter of Clarence Wilcher and Edith Abston Wilcher.
She married Lee Roy Cleghorn on June 26, 1948 in Greenville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sons, Randy Lee Cleghorn and Robert Milton Cleghorn, both of Dallas; brother, Cecil “Red” Wilcher of Sherman; sisters, Dorothy Lindsey of Chicago Heights, Ill., Barbara Back of Nebraska, Mary Monroe of Arlington, Ruth Turney of Grand Prairie and Linda Sullivan of Merit; and a granddaughter, Laurie Dickerson of Commerce.
She was preceded in death by her mother, in 1988; her father, in 1990; he husband, in 1991 and a son, Roy Dale Cleghorn, in 1998.
Pallbearers include John Sullivan, Curtis Cleghorn, Hershel Ware, Gary Wilcher, Steven Wilcher and James Glover.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
