Rites Held for Mrs. Chas. Fay

Funeral services were held at the Shutte Funeral Home Saturday, August 18, at 2:00 p.m. for Mrs. Charles Fay, 84, who passed away August 16 at Waterloo. The Rev. Walter T. Martin, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church, was in charge of the rites. Burial was in Postville cemetery.
Jennie Snell Fay, daughter of Henry and Arabelle Snell, was born November 13, 1871 at Postville, Iowa. she died August 16, 1956 in Waterloo at the age of 84 years, nine months and three days.
Jennie Snell was married to Charles H. Fay on August 30, 1892 at Monona, Iowa. Mr. Fay passed away on October 17, 1953.
Mrs. Fay is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George Farmer of Cedar Falls, Mrs. Emil Kluss of Waterloo and Mrs. Flossie Gass of Clermont; two sisters, Mrs. J. Wescott of Ventura, Iowa and Mrs. Joe Blietz of Monona; two brothers, David R. Snell of Dallas, Texas and William H. Snell of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and three grandchildren. A daughter, Hazel, died in infancy.
She was a member of the Diamond Club of Community Presbyterian Church of Postville.
