Robert Chambers, aged sixty-one, an old soldier who has been living with Mr. Pokey Wood in Hampton for a number of years, was found dead yesterday morning in his room over Mr. Wood's place. Dr. Peek made an examination and concluded that the man died of heart disease.
Deceased is survived by a wife and three children and his mother in Philadelphia.
An effort will be made to have the body interred in the National Soldiers Home Cemetery, but if this is not permitted, the interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery.
