Note: Sometimes the surname is spelled "Tohm".
1910 U.S. Census for Stonewall Twp, Pontotoc Co., Oklahoma:
Wilson Tom Head M 53 Oklahoma
Acy Tom Wife F 38 Oklahoma
Maurie Tom Dau F 12 Oklahoma
Sikly Hawkins Mother-in-law F 80 Mississippi
Cassie Hawkins Niece-in-law F 23 Oklahoma
Charley Parter Nephew-in-law M 23 Oklahoma
"Maurie" is shown as "Mamie" on the actual census record. His marriage to Acy is his 2nd. This is her first marriage. She has had 1 child, living. The census shows that Wilson & Acy have been married 7 years; thus, Acy is not Mamie's mother. They are of the Chickasaw Nation (full-blood). Wilson has "his own income".
Note that if Mamie is actually 12 yrs, that means she was b. ca 1898. There was a wrong birth date listed for her at the time her memorial was created.
There has been plenty of documentation proving that Wilson Tohm (Thom) was Mamie's father.
Have not yet been so fortunate in discovering documentation as to who her mother was.
