Obituary for George "Bud" Creswell
Bud Creswell, 79 of Robinson, IL, died at 12:36 a.m. (e. s. t.) Tuesday, Februrary 12, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN. He was born June 25,1928 in Palestine, the son of James Creswell and Clotille Mathews Creswell. He worked at the Ellis Mill for 20 years and after that at Stewart Security, retiring in 1999. He served in the U. S. Army in Korea. He was a member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69 and the Palestine First Christian Church. He married Greta Dickinson September 12, 1950 and she survives. He is also survived by 2 sons, James "Jay" Creswell, Hutsonville and Frank Creswell, St. Charles, MO; his daughter, Beverly Creswell, Colorado Springs, CO; 4 grandchildren, Kristin, Kacie, Austin Creswell, and Cooper Augustine; two sisters, Norma Miller, Robinson and Carol Russell, Artesia, NM; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Rosemary Creswell and Phyllis McCleary. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 15th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Jan Kincaid is in charge of services. Burial is in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday and until service time on Friday. Memorials may be made to the United Life Care Ambulance Service with envelopes at the funeral home.
