WOMAN STRICKEN IN AUTOMOBILE

Mrs. Rosie V. Benson Reese, 63, of route 1, died suddenly from a heart attack at 6:20 o'clock Friday evening on her way home from the Ewing Convalescent home where she was employed.

Mrs. Reese was riding in an automobile with her daughter, Mrs. Earl Fleegle, of route 1, when she became ill. Before they reached a doctor's office she had collapsed. Upon arrival there the physician pronounced her dead.

Mrs. Reese was born March 7, 1860, in Liberty township. Her parents were Abraham and Louise (Hartranft) Benson.

Her husband, Oliver L. Reese, died Dec. 17, 1940. Besides Mrs. Fleegle, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Eva Hammond, Mt. Gilead, and Mrs. Jennie Gropp, Watseka, Ill.: a son Otis Reese, route 1, Ada; a brother, Wilbert Benson, Liberty township; a sister, Mrs. Ann Hummell, Grand Rapids; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. two sons are dead.

Funeral services were held in the Riley Creek Baptist church. The pastor, Rev. C. M. Harsh, officiated. Burial followed in Flick cemetery. The Coldren funeral home were in charge of the arrangements.
