Mr. Howard J. Gadd age 62, of Mt.Vernon passed away Monday April 28th, 2014 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital. He was born on June 11th, 1961 in Rockcastle County the son of William David Gadd of Mt.Vernon, and the late Birdie Jane Croucher. He was a farmer and a member of the Fairview Church at Conway.

Survivors are: two sons; Howard Gadd II of Brodhead, and Nathan Lee Gadd of Mt.Vernon. Two daughters; Amanda Kay Gadd of Mt.Vernon, and Sharon Marie Powell of Richmond. Four brothers; Floyd, Lloyd, Donald, and Arnold Gadd all of Mt.Vernon. One sister; Brenda Sutton of Mt.Vernon. Ten grandchildren also survive. Besides his mother he was preceded in death by: two sisters; Helen Mason, and Janie McCollum.
