The Rev Thomas Nichols, associate pastor at the Fellowship Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Mr Frohwein was born April 27, 1890 north of State Center, the son of George and Dorothy Funke Frohwein. He was married to Mabel Parsons October 21, 1909 north of State Center, and she survives.
He is also survived by three children: Mrs Ivan (Maxine) Davis, State Center; Marlin Frohwein, Marshalltown and Harold Frohwein, Beaman; as well as eight grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. In addition he is survived by a brother and two sisters: Louis Frohwein, State Center, Mrs Rosella Brink and Mrs Leona Eggers, both of State Center.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, two daughters and two grandsons.
Mr Frohwein was reared and educated in State Center and had also lived in Gowry and Farnhamville. He farmed near State Center for many years and in 1943 went to work for the Marshalltown Livestock Co, at the 18th Avenue salebarn. He retired in 1972. He was a member of St John's Lutheran Church north of State Center.
