According to his obituary, George McClellan Blystone was born December 22, 1864 in Washington Twp., the son of John and Mary (Herald) Blystone. George died of complications of advanced age in the Indiana Hospital [located in White Twp.]. He was a lifelong resident of Indiana County and was a blacksmith. His wife, Letty (McBrier) Blystone died thirty years ago. He was survived by 12 children, 45 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

George married "Letty" Violetta Nola McBrier ca. 1883. She died in 1916.

George's obituary does not mention that he remarried twice (to sisters) after his first wife died:
1. "Sadie" Sarah O. (Roddy) Arnold Gallo sometime between 1916 and 1920. She died in 1931.
2. Barbara Ellen (Roddy) Jackson in November 1932. She died in 1935.

George and Letty were the parents of thirteen children:
