Per his death certificate found on Ancestry.com: he was a son of Jim Geiger, born in S. C., and unnamed mother. He was a planter. He was married at the time of his death but his spouse is not named. He died of endocarditis. The informant was O. C. Geiger of Cayce, S. C.

He can be found on the 1860 US Census for Dutch Fork, Lexington, SC at age 8 living with J A W Geiger, 38, Amanda, 14, Caroline, 12, Ellen, 10, Preston, 6, Francis, 3, and G. M. Geiger, 31. He was born in Lexington.

He can be found on the 1900 US Census for Congaree, Lexington, SC at age 49 living with Sarah J., 38, Sue, 21, Willie, 17, Walter, 15, Pearl, 13, Roxey, 11, and Carl, 5. His DOB is given as Mar 1851. He was 18 when he married. He was born in SC as were both parents. He is a farmer.
