WALKER, Fannie Mae Braden, age 101, of Lynnville, TN, Friday, September 11, 1998 in Nashville, TN.

,Her parents were the late John and Julia Davis Braden. Husband of forty two years, Robert H. Walker died in 1965. Three sons: Robert H. Walker Jr., John T. Walker and Ronald Walker also predeceased her.

Mrs. Walker was a 1919 graduate of Roger Williams University and attended Tennessee State Agricultural and Industrial College in Nashville. Her career as an Elementary School Teacher and Principal spanned over thirty years in the Giles County Public School System. She was an active Member of Round Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Lynnville for over ninety years. She held membership in the Retired Teachers Association. County Historical Society. Friendship Club #2, Lynnville Senior Citizens Society, Lynnville Home Demonstration Club and participated in other church and community services. In her early years, was active in many auxiliaries of the Richland Creek Missionary Baptist Association.

Her remains are at Queen Ann Funeral Home, Pulaski, TN. Visitation with the family 11 am Friday at Round Hill Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services to follow at 12 noon conducted by Pastor George Ridley.

Interment Robertson Fork Cemetery.

Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law: Isabel Marbury of Lynnville, Willie Mae (Dr. James L.) Martin of Nashville, and Sylvia (Charlie) Wilson of St. Louis, MO; daughter-in-law Magnolia Hope Walker of Detroit; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, numerous cousins and many friends.

The family expresses special thanks to Dr. Jordan Asher and the Staff of Saint Thomas Hospital for dedicated care during her illness.
