Meat Market Operator Dies

Lester L. Allison's Rites To Be Monday

Lester L. Allison, 233 Carolina Ave., Chester, operator of Allison's Market on Dresden Ave., died suddenly Thursday night at 6:15 at City Hospital. He was 59. Mr. Allison was born in Chester, a son of the late Robert E. and Georgianna Martin Allison. He had operated the meat market for 31 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion of Chester. He was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Florence R. Allison at home; four sisters, Mrs. Lucinda Oyster, Mrs. Viva Hune Schell, Mrs. Eva Johnston and Miss Olive Allison, all of Chester, and three brothers, Floyd T. Allison of Chester, George R. Allison of Beaver Falls, and Charles H. Allison of Antioch, Calif. Services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 at the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. Marvin Bowman, pastor of the Chester United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday and Sunday.
