Samuel's father, John Bowers is listed in the Journal History as having traveled with the Marsden Company. The birth of Samuel's brother, John Shadrach Bowers, in Salt Lake City in February of 1853 indicates that his family was traveling with him. For that reason, they are also included in the Marsden Company.

According to Findagrave volunteer Amy, the sexton said he is buried in the paupers section of the cemetery (UK stands for unknown).

Another volunteer, David, was told by the sexton that he was born 25 Dec 1857 in England, and that the grave location is in the Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

I Suspect NOBODY From EITHER Salt Lake City Cemetery; Or Mount Calvary Cemetery, Would have told ANYONE such Misinformed information.

Until About 1940 or so, this Cemetery recorded HORRIBLE Information. And the Current Office Staff and Mark [Sexton} are working to fix, histories mess.

NOBODY in the Salt Lake City Cemetery Office, Sexton or Office, would have told Anyone, This person would be in Mount Calvary.
The Salt Lake City Cemetery kept HORRIBLE Records, from beginning, to about 1940.

The ONLY Thing, I can Bank as ABSOLUTE FACT [or close] is BURIAL LOCATION.
This is what they did. They Buried People and they Recorded Date and Location WELL.
The Dates and spelling, I TRY to Verify with Death Records.
FOR INSTANCE the Birth Year ON This Memorial. 20 year Miss.

But Death Record LOOKS like 1857 to Me. There is a Small little change, where it Might read 1837.
NOTE 2 THIS IS The Birth Year this Cemetery Would have provided because that is INFORMATION recorded ONLINE. from the horrible records this cemetery historically kept.

Mount Calvary borders the Salt Lake City Cemetery;

WHO EVER gave this particular information to David {NOT The Sexton} likely used the Online site, which was actually not completed until about 2014 or 2015. What they did have was COMPLETE ADDED ONLINE by 2016.
Then they went about CORRECTING the Information, both in Records and the Online site.

This Online Site records; "UK ####' which = Unknown; and are Placed in the map, Hoovering over Mount Calvary Cemetery; UNTIL The Office working Diligently to fix the Horrible records kept in this cemetery, until about 1950.
