Viola U. Irons, 93, of Keystone, Iowa (Formerly Manchester), died on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton.

Viola was raised and educated near Manchester.

Viola was united in marriage to Harold Irons in 1937 at Waterloo. Four children were born to this union. Together they lived in Waterloo until 1954 when they moved to Manchester.

Viola loved her family and flowers.

Survivors include her four children, Charles Irons of Climate Springs, Missouri, Phyllis (Wayne) Paulsen of Keystone, Barbara (Ronald) Kuesel of Vinton, and RL (Connee) Irons of Center Point; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Duane Brown of Fort Pierce, Florida, and Maxine Wessel of Manchester.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Irons in 1992; a daughter-in-law, Janice Irons; six brothers, Richard, Lloyd, Ray, Harlan, Jim, and Melvin Brown; and one sister, Laura Beam Felderman.
