Mrs. Mary Ann Gantz, relict of the late John J. Gantz, died at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening of last week. Burial was made in Carrollton Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Messrs Butler, Hawk and Stewart.
The deceased was a daughter of the late John Moody and Lena (Pugh) Moody. She was born near Carrollton in 1842. She was married to John J. Gantz at an early age, two sons and three daughters being born to them; Maurice, Dora, wife of James H. Gregg of Detroit, Mattie, Mantie and John. Mrs. Gregg is the only survivor among the children. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three brothers, John J., Frank P., and William Moody, all of Carrollton.
