Walter R. Kell Claimed At 62

Walter R. Kell, a resident of this vicinity for 50 years, died Wednesday night at 8:20 at the home of a sister, Mrs. Fern Winters, 556 Florida Ave., Chester, with whom he resided. He was 62 and had been ill for 6 months. He was born Jan. 30, 1898, in Hartford, W. Va., the son of the late John G. Kell and Ann Robinson Kell. He was a former roofer for the Albert Kell Roofing & Heating Co. at Chester. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Helen Rayburn and Mrs. Ilene Daughtery, both of Newell; another sister, Mrs. Florence Seckman of East Liverpool; two brothers, Albert Kell and Thomas Kell, both of Chester, and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Chester First Christian Church by the Rev. Earliss Geaton. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery in Chester. Friends may call at the Martin Funeral Home Friday night.
