A daughter of the late Samuel C. and Elizabeth J. Miller Hill, she was born July 1, 1923, in Renton, Plum Township.
Mrs. Douglas was a graduate of Plum Township High School. She had worked at several jobs over the years, including Musser Nursery, King Leather, Brody's, and Sears and Roebuck, where she remained for several years. Mrs. Douglas enjoyed reading, crocheting, quilting, knitting, doing arts and crafts, genealogy, gardening and fishing.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Raymond M. Douglas, of Indiana; a daughter, Janis E. Thomas and husband Jeffrey, of Fombell; a brother, Robert S. Hill and wife Virginia, of Varysburg, NY; a sister, Lois Lowman, of New Brighton; a grandson, Joshua E. Thomas; a sister-in-law, Helen Hill, of Clymer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Frank, Earl and Clyde Hill, and a sister, Pearl Hamilton.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Dr. Horace Derr officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
