Noel Burgan died Dec. 20, 2005, at St. Peter's Hospital.

Noel was born in Bishop, Calif., Dec. 25, 1932. He grew up in California and graduated from Placer High School. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Laura Jeanne Crespillo in Reno, Nev., Aug. 16, 1957, and they were married for 47 years. During most of his life he worked as a heavy equipment operator and over-the-road truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Laura, of Boulder; three daughters: Joanne (Rich) Reyes of Lincoln, Calif.; Kim (Mike) Pierce of Vacaville, Calif.; Noelle Burgan (Matt Johnson) of East Helena; son Mathias Lewis of Boulder; brother Neil Burgan of Yountville, Calif.; and sister Dee (Dave) Scalley of Oregon; 13 grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
A private family service was held in Boulder on his birthday, Dec. 25, with Pastor Don Niemeir officiating.
