SABETHA, Kan. - Lydia Lillian Strahm Wenger, 84, Sabetha, died Sunday, Sept. 3. 1989, at a local health-care center.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Sabetha. She had attended the Tranquil County School near Sabetha and later Sabetha School
Mrs. Wenger was employed for the former Bockerstette Hatchery and the Sabetha Feed House, of Sabetha.
She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of Sabetha.
She married Levi "Doc" Wenger on June 29, 1929 at Seneca, KS. He died on April 9, 1984.
Surviving: four brothers, Silas Strahm of Fairview, Kan. Orville Strahm of Wichita, Kan.. Leland Strahm of Topeka, Kan., and Milan Strahm of Sabetha; three sisters, Tillie Wenger and Eva Alderfer, both of Sabetha, and Elida Mae Wherry of Boulder, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Apostolic Christian Church, Sabetha. Burial, Sabetha Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 8:30 Monday evening at the Popkess Mortuary, Sabetha.
