Earl E. Hodgins, 81, of 1618 Nelson St., Port Huron, died Saturday, February 29, 1992 in Port Huron Hospital after a long illness. He was born Sept. 28, 1910 in Carsonville and lived in Port Huron since 1936. He married Louise D. Sorenson on Sept 19, 1936 in Hazel Park. Mr. Hodgins was a machine repairman for Mueller Brass Company, retiring in 1975 after 39 yrs. of service. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Jerome (Cynthia) Hodgins of Lexington and Ralph (Diane)Hodgins of St. Clair; two daughters, Norman (Garlin) Thompson and David (Sheila) Hastings, all of Port Huron; fourteen grandchildren; two brothers, Douglas Hodgins of Florida and Stanley Hodgins of Port Huron; two sisters, Howard (Betty) Ward of Port Huron and Walter (Bernice) Labor of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 3, 1992 in Pollock Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron. The Rev. Gerald W. Clark of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiated.
Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Pallbearers were Steven & David Hodgins, Jerry Jr, David and Jeffrey Borowski, and Scott, Michael and Matthew Thompson.
