Lemuel was called Frank by his brother, Leonard. Lemuel owned a cheese factory at Granby Quebec. Before his last twins, Harry and Herbert were born he developed pneumonia and was advised by his doctor to find a drier climate. Unaware that his wife was pregnant, he went to Montana where his brother was, leaving his wife and another lady to run the factory. Did ranch work and sheep herding in Mont. Returned to Granby about six years later. Eventually he and Elizabeth moved to Calgary to be near daughter, Martha, and spent the remainder of their lives there. He spent his last years with his daughter, Edna.
