Daughter of Meier & Doba Calof, Celia was the third of 12 children. Born on a farm in Sullivan Township, Ramsey County, North Dakota to immigrant parents from Czarist Russia-Ukraine, she immigrated to Winnipeg Canada in 1904. An aspiring and gifted singer and piano player, she married Phillip Samuel Rogers in 1915. Together they had 3 children: Molly (Brickman), Beatrice (Zack) and Arnold. She worked tirelessly to help others, both as a fundraiser for community projects, and as a mom/wife/nurse to her family. After her husband passed she became an insurance agent. Celia was grandmother to at least six grand-children.
