ABERDEEN - Johnnie Lou Baker, 93, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at her daughter's home in Aberdeen. She was born April 27, 1913, to the late John James and Lillie Vasser James. She was a member of New Hebron M.B. Church and a homemaker.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 6 at New Hebron M.B. Church with the Rev. Sam Crawford officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Williams Memorial Funeral Home of Okolona is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Gardner (Ambrose) of Aberdeen and Doris Davis (Robert) of Chicago; a daughter-in-law, Olivia Baker of Aberdeen; two sons, Willie Baker of Chicago and Kenneth Baker (Gladys) of Aberdeen; a stepson, Robert Baker (Amy) of South Bend, Ind.; two sisters, Essie Chandler (Alex) of Albany, N.Y., and Annie Davis of East St. Louis, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Louise James and Lady James, both of Aberdeen; two brothers, David James (Priscilla) of Aberdeen and Benjamin James (Hazel) of Warren, Ohio; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
