Shuler Andrew "S.A." Bolin, Jr., 77, of Orangeburg, SC passed away at his residence Monday, April 7, 2014.

Friends and family may call at Dukes Harley Funeral Home, Orangeburg,Thursday, April 10th from 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Northside Baptist Church with Reverend Shane Stutzman officiating. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery, Orangeburg.

Mr. Bolin was born December 31, 1936 in Neeses, SC, the eldest son of the late Shuler Andrew Bolin and the late Ruth Porter Bolin. He retired from Palmetto Baking Company after forty- five years of dedicated service. S. A. loved to camp and fish at Santee and was also an award-winning baker. Shuler was a member of Woodmen of the World, a volunteer with the Boys and Girls Club of Orangeburg, and an avid square dancer. Mr. Bolin also served in the United States Army, 504thDivision of the Military Police. S.A. was a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church.

Shuler is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Nancy Grubbs Bolin of the home; a daughter, Deborah B. Malinoski (Gene) of Summerville, SC; a son, Shuler Andrew "Drew" Bolin , III, of Blackville, SC; two sisters, Susan B. Grubbs of Florence, SC and Sylvia B. Southerland (Jim) of Columbia, SC; one brother, Richard S.(Jill) Bolin of Beaufort, SC; and five grandchildren, Claire Harrelson, Ashley Humphries, Allison Epton, Travis Bolin, and Cody Bolin; and three great-grandchildren , Caleb Harrelson, Chase Hutchinson, and Jacob Bolin. Mr. Bolin was predeceased by one brother, Andrew S. Bolin.
