Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Pine Hill United Methodist Church, with burial at the Rocky Swamp Cemetery, Highway 4. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday evening, May 28, 2013 at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bolin was born the daughter of the late James Lawrence Porter and Susan Peel Porter in the Pine Hill Community. She was the widow of the late Shuler Andrew Bolin. She was a retired farmer and seamstress with Stone Manufacturing and Ambler Industries. She had been a long time member of Rocky Swamp Methodist Church, and then Pine Hill United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Bolin was predeceased by her son, Andrew S. Bolin and his son Darryl S. Bolin.
Survivors include her children, Shuler A. Bolin, Jr. (Nancy) of Orangeburg, Susan B. Grubbs of Florence, Richard S. "Sam" Bolin (Jill) of Beaufort, and Sylvia B. Southerland (Jim) of Columbia; Brothers, Harvey Porter of Cayce, Charles Porter of Gaston; Sisters, Mildred Ernest of Gaston, Jeanette Smith of Columbia, and Ruby Manley of Columbia. She is also survived by 7 Grand Children, 11 Great Grand Children, and 4 Great Great Grand Children.
Memorials may be made to Pine Hill United Methodist Church or a charity of one's choice.
