Parents - Alton Luther and Florence Ruth (Bailaw) LaFayette.
Graduated - Plainfield High School, then attended Burlington Business College.
Married Urban A. Brown On April 21, 1944 in Plainfield.
She & her husband owned & operated a dairy farm
She was cook at Goddard College in Plainfield, worked for the Vermont Agency of Transportation, and was a caregiver in Montpelier.
Hobbies included - bird-watching, flower gardening, her pets, playing pinochle, and poetry by Ima Kidder.
She is survived by her son, Bernard and her daughter Maria Jean and their families; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a niece and three nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughters Brenda Ruth Blair and Kay Ella Smith; a grandson; a brother, Alton Jerome LaFayette; and a sister, Florence Bridges.
