William E. Angstadt, 71, of Oley R.D. 1, died last night in St. Joseph's Hospital, where he had been admitted six hours before.
Born in Reading, the son of the late Darius S. and Annie K. (Endy) Angstadt, he was a farmer until his retirement in 1958 and a member of Frieden's United Church of Christ, Oley, the Oley Fire Co., and the Relief Association of the Oley Fire Co.
Surviving are his widow, Sarah E. (Ohlinger) Angstadt, one son, William R. Angstadt, of Oley R.D. 1, four daughters: Anna E. Angstadt, at home, Mrs. Helen M. Van Kirk, Temple, Ellen M., wife of Gene W. Nester, Frances L. wife of Amandus Reichert, both of Oley R.D. 1, , five grandchildren, one brother, Daniel E. Angstadt, Oley R.D. 1, three sisters: Alice E. Angstadt, Cornwall, Pa., Anna A., wife of Roy Wilgis, Yellow House, and Ruth E. wife of Warren Fegley, Mount Penn.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Daniel R. Christ Funeral Home, Oley, the Rev. Norman Shollenberger officiating. Burial will be made in Frieden's Cemetery, Oley.
