MARY FRANCES KUYKENDALL CHASTEEN, 82, of Duncan, died Wednesday, July 8, 1998, in Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Eastside Church of Christ in Duncan, with Ron Stough officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery, under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home in Duncan.
Mrs. Chasteen was born Sept. 2, 1915, to Elmer and Mary (Brister) Kuykendall in Ringgold, Texas. On March 31, 1934, she married Louis Chasteen in Duncan. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1975.
Mrs. Chasteen was a resident of Duncan for 80 years, a member of the Eastside Church of Christ, and a member of TOPS Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Nottingham and husband Marion, of Duncan, and Susie Scott and husband Lawrence A. of Ardmore; four grandchildren, Debbie Gardner of Oklahoma City, Donna McCall of Duncan, Jason Scott of Dallas and Alison Scott of Ardmore; four great-grandchildren, Kasey Gardner, Jessica McCall, Justin McCall, and Cameron Scott; and lifelong friend, Ruby Kirby Havens.
Mrs. Chasteen was preceded in death by four brothers, Elmer, Frank, Johnie and Joe Kuykendall; and two sisters, Viola Moore and Irene Castleberry.
Bearers will be Jason Scott, Glenn Gardner, Danny McCall, Bill Castleberry, Tommy Kuykendall, Dean Kuykendall, Frank Kuykendall and J.W. Bradley.
