Teresa (Theresa) Sasso was the only daughter from Michelina Monaco's second marriage 1873 - 1884 to Giovanni Battista Sasso (1827 - 1884). She had four brothers from that marriage - Pasquale (1874-1901), Angelo (1876-1893), Sinibaldo (1879 - 1916) and Giuseppe (1884 - 1944). In addition, she had a half-sister and two half-brothers from her mother's first marriage 1863-1870 to Pasquale Sasso (1833-1870) - they were Gaetana Maria Sasso Bergamo (1865 - 1947), Francesco "Frank" Saverio Sasso (1867 - 1945) and Sinibaldo (1870 - 1877).

Theresa was born May 20, 1882 in Oliveto Citra, Italy and came to America on 6/15/1905 with her brother Sinibaldo. She married Macario (Mike) Coglianese at Holy Guardian Angel Church, Chicago, IL on 07/02/1905. Together she and her husband had 10 children - 7 girls and 3 boys.
