Mr. Ledbetter died Monday in at Monroe County Hospital in Forsyth, Ga. while he was on vacation.
He was employed for 30 years at the Container Corp. of America, Rock Island.
A native of Hannibal, Mo., he married Sharon Brunat in 1964 in Hannibal.
Survivors include daughters, Charlotte and Torri, both of Rock Island, one grandchild, sisters, Mrs. Martha Christal, Milan, Mrs. Mary Jane Wichern, Hannibal, Mo., and Mrs. Virginia Taylor, Bettendorf, a half-sister, Mrs. Margaret Brasford of Hannibal and a half-brother, Lionel May of Michigan.

Charles and Willis Ledbetter of Rock Island have received word of the death of their father Bill (sp.) Ledbetter, 78, at 5:45 yesterday afternoon in Hannibal, Mo. Mr. Ledbetter had suffered two strokes.
Services will be Monday afternoon in O'Donold's Funeral Home, Hannibal, with burial in the same city.
Surviving are three other sons, six daughters and several grandchildren.
