Martha Ledbetter Christal, 85, of Milan, died Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at her home. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Monday at Grand View Burial Park, Hannibal, MO. Visitation will be from 2 – 5 PM Sunday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Martha was born on October 17, 1926 in Hannibal, MO, the daughter of Isaac and Ethel Myers Ledbetter. Martha married three times and had six children.
She worked as a waitress for many years at the Plantation restaurant, formerly of Moline.
Martha loved ceramics and her grandchildren.
She is survived by; her children, Ray (Liz Coffman) Roland, Rock Island, David (Edna) Webb, Rock Island, Martha (Jack) Perry, Spokane, WA, Becky Barnes, Rock Island, and Terry (Doris) Christal, Rock Island; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Taylor, Hannibal, MO.
Martha was preceded in death by her three husbands; parents; son, Ronnie Webb; 5 brothers, and 4 sisters.
