She was born in Amboy, Ill., April 9, 1860, being the eldest daughter of Jacob and Caroline Klein. She was married September 1, 1880, and made her home in Franklin Grove, Ill., until 1901, at which time she and her family moved to Chicago, Ill. In 1920, the family moved to Valparaiso, Florida.
Surviving are one son, Harold J. Engel; one grandson, John C. Engel; one granddaughter Marion L. Engel all of Pensacola, Florida; and three sisters-Mrs. Clara Reinboth, Amboy, Ill., Mrs. Ida Derr, Chicago, Ill; and Mrs. George Armstrong, Park Ridge, Ill.

"Strange, is it not, that of the myriads who,
Before us passed the Door of Darkness through,
Not one returns to tell us of the Road;
Which to discover, we must travel too."
The casket-bearers were: Car Gaver, Ted Gaver, of St. Paul, Minn.; George Armstong of Park Ridge, Ill.; Harry Derr of Chicago, Ill.; and Junior Klein of Amboy, Ill.; all of whom are nephews of the deceased; and Nelson Blocher of Chicago, Ill.
