ROSCOE - Hilda E. Lovejoy, 75, of 10745 Main St., Roscoe, died Sunday in St. Anthony Hospital, Rockford.
A Roscoe resident since 1927, she was born June 27, 1897, in Frankfort, Ill., the daughter of Henry W., and Minna Knippel Klepper. She was married to Andrew Curtis Lovejoy Oct. 1, 1927, in Geneva, Ill.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary of Rockton, of which she served as president and a member of the state board.
Surviving are her husband, two sons, Norman Russell, in Denmark, and Newell Curtis Lovejoy, of Rockton; three daughters, Mrs. John (Shirley) Clifford of Ridgefield, Conn., Mrs. Denzil (Betty) Showers, of Beloit, and Mrs. Thomas (Geneva) Graham of Tuscola, Tex., 23 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Geneva Grenheim, Frankfort, Ill.
A son David Russell is deceased.
Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Roscoe, with the Rev. Richard Boyer officiating. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer Blackhawk Chapel, South Beloit.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Rockton Legion Auxiliary.
