Irene Crismon, 97, Eldon, died Friday at Eldon Healthcare Center. She was born July 10, 1900, in Tuscumbia, a daughter of Otto B. and Miranda Florence McDonald Nixdorf. She was married Feb. 15, 1920, in Tuscumbia, to Joseph I. Crismon, who died Feb. 10, 1935.

A longtime resident of Miller County, she was employed as an inspector with Glaser Brothers Clothing Manufacturing in Eldon before retiring in 1961. She was a member of First Christian Church, Eldon.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Barbara Schwebel, Laurie, Virginia Nelson, Stover, and JoAnne Lynch, Stockton, Calif.; one son, Kenneth Crismon, Eldon; two sisters, Minnie Smith, Grand Junction, Colo., and Helen Gilfallen, Rialto, Calif.; one brother, Ralph Nixdorf, Moreno Valley, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. One son, Otis Crismon, died Nov. 11, 1987.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at First Christian Church. The Rev. Bennie Yount will officiate. Burial will be in Tuscumbia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30-3 p.m. today at the church. Memorials are suggested to the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon.
