Myrtie was born in Wills Point, Texas to John S. and Milbery H. McDonald McLemore. She married Robert Albert Burks in 1914,in Texas, they moved to Little Rock, Ca. where Robert died July, 24, 1948. They had three children: Oleta, Lorene and Lessie. Oleta died in 1940, Lorene died 1998. ,Lessie changed her name to Lucia she died September 3, 2006 in Hemphill, Tx. her ashes where scattered in a river habor in Hemphill, TX.
