She was the sixth of eight children of Herman and Anna Leiferman and was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Harold Traeger, whom she married on September 1, 1940.
Rose raised her family in Mankato and Rochester, MN, before retiring with her husband to Sun City, AZ, in 1977. It was there that her artistic talents with painting, ceramics and embroidery truly blossomed. Her friends and family today enjoy many of her colorful gifts in their homes.
She moved to Lodi, CA, in 2004, where she remained active until very recently.
Rose is survived by her five children. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, David Traeger Hetzner; her parents; and her three brothers and four sisters.
Rose enjoyed her final days in wonderful comfort and care, and her family suggests that any donations in her memory be made to the Hospice of your choice.
Funeral arrangements are private, with burial to be in Lodi.
