Dr. Daniel D. Cliffe, brother of Sheriff G. W. Cliffe, of this city, died at his home at Marion Monday evening at about 7 o'clock, after a short illness.
Dr. Cliffe made several professional calls Sunday and Monday eomplained of not feeling so very well. At 6:15 o'clock Sheriff Cliffe phoned to his brother's home at Marion and was informed that "Dan" was better. An hour later he received the sad tidings of his brother's death.
Dr. Cliffe was one of the best known vetinary surgeons in the state. He studied for six years in this city with his brother, Sheriff G. W. Cliffe, and later graduated from a Cincinnati college.
He was a genial, companionable gentleman, whose friends were legion and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves besides a wife and little son, a father and mother, seven brothers and three sisters.

The funeral of the late Dr. D. D. Cliffe, occurred at Marion Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and was under the auspices of the Masons.
Sheriff and Mrs. G. W. Cliffe and daughter, Miss Helen, attended the funeral.

JEROMEVILLE - Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cliffe received the sad news last Monday night of the sudden death of their son, Daniel, at his home in Marion. Mr. Cliffe and son, Walter attended the funeral services at Marion on Thursday.
