Ora was the daughter of Mark Eugene and Laura Walker Walker. She married Oscar Eldon Smith in the Salt Lake Temple June 7, 1934. He died March 3, 1966.
Ora worked as a teacher in Ogden and taught at Hopkins, T.O. Smith, Grandview, and Wasatch Schools.
She received her bachelor's degree from University of Utah.
At the time of her death, she was survived by one son, one daughter, and one grandchild, as well as one brother, Ona V. Walker, and four sisters, Enid Thornton, Olga Halling, Celia Ralphs, and Virone Wardle.
