Eloise Parton Deyton, age 87, of Caroleen, N.C., quietly went home to be with the Lord while being surrounded by her family on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home.

Born October 15, 1926 in Converse, S.C., she was a daughter to the late Cromer Rector Parton and Callie Hannah Parton.

Eloise retired from Tanners after many years of service and was a faithful member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years, John Hubert Deyton; two daughters, Louise Deyton and Joyce Downey; two sons, John "Wolf" Deyton and James "Buddy" Deyton and six brothers and sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Killian and husband, James of Union Mills and Betty White and husband, Freddie of Harris; two sons, Jerry Deyton and wife, Teresa of Gainesville, Georgia and Scott Deyton and wife, Louise of Caroleen; brother, C.R. Parton, Jr. and two sisters, Irene Inman and Barbara Sherbert all of Spartanburg. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Harris and Reverend Ted Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in High Shoal Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
