The death of John E. Snepp at Crump's Sanitarium at Columbus was very sudden Tuesday evening, the Herald saying that he ate a hearty supper and appeared to be in his usual health. At about nine o'clock he and his wife retired. Shortly afterward he began frothing profusely at the mouth and became speechless.

Dr. Morrow was summoned and Dr. Pettigrew arrived soon afterward, but they were unable to relieve the sufferer and he died in a short time. Drs. Morrow and Pettigrew demanded an autopsy and an inquest and they were held Wednesday morning. Drs. Baker, Voris, Morrow, Pettigrew and Wood were present at the autopsy. Coroner Fugate held the inquest and rendered a verdict to the effect that the cause of death was passive congestion with tributary causes of heart, lung, liver, kidney and spleen diseases.

Funeral service was Friday afternoon at the St. George Church.
Interment at the St. George Cemetery.
