Doris King Campbell, 84,
of Mooresville, died Wednesday,
Jan. 3, 2007 at Carolinas
Medical Center.
Born April 14, 1922 in Wallburg,
she was the daughter of
the late Charles and Nell Hendricks
King.
She was a retired
office manager at Dawl Furniture
Company in High Point.
Mrs. Campbell was a Sunday
school teacher for over 50
years. She was the past president
of NC Christian Endeavor
Union and of the Agenda
Club-YWCA in High Point.
She was a member of the gospel-
singing group, "The Melody
Messengers," for over 15
years. She was a member of
First Baptist Church in Mooresville,
where she was a member
of the XYZ senior choir
and leader of the morning
Bible study class.
In addition to her parents,
Mrs. Campbell was preceded
in death by her sisters, Ruth K.
Lee and Wanda K. Jester.
Mrs. Campbell is survived
by her husband of 64 years,
A.R. Campbell, Jr.; son, Albert
Ross Campbell III and wife,
Pam, of Archdale; grandchildren,
Shelli R. Campbell of
High Point, Pamela A. Campbell
of Sophia and Angela Wall
and husband, Ken, of Trinity,
great-grandchildren, Shea
Hinesley, Journey Wall, Collin
Wall and Landon Wall, step
great-grandchildren, Lauren
Wall, Ryan Wall and Kimberly
Wall.
Funeral services will be at 2
p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, at
First Baptist Church of Mooresville
with Dr. James Royston
and Rev. Mark Pitts officiating.
The family will be receiving
friends following the service
in the church fellowship
hall. The committal service
will be held on Sunday, Jan. 7,
at Floral Gardens Cemetery in
High Point at 2 p.m.

Street, Mooresville, NC 28115.
