William Alton Shelton of Poteau was born July 4, 1938 in Tucker Knob, Oklahoma to Raleigh Edmond and Vera Angeline (Jennings) Shelton Sr. and passed away March 19,2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 75. William was preceded in death by four sisters, Hazel Shelton, Jewel McCutcheon, Anna Doris Hart and Betty Shamblin; six brothers, R.E., Albert, Valgene, Jack, Merle and Bud Shelton and his parents. Funeral Services will be 10 am Friday, March 21, 2014 at Mallory Chapel with T.B.D. officiating. Burial will follow in Sans Bois Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory of Stigler.
