"Farewell, dear mother, sweet thy rest;
Weary with eyars and worn with pain;
Farewell till on some happy place
We shall behold thy face again.
'Tis ours to miss thee all our years,
And tender memories of thee keep. Shine in the Lord to rest, for so
He giveth His beloved sleep."
Through all pain at times she'd smile, A smile of heavenly birth, And when the angels called her home She smiled farewell to earth.
Heaven retaineth now our treasure,
Earth the lonely casket keeps;
And the sunbeams love to linger
Where our sainted mother sleeps.
