Alene Payne Croley, 94, of Berea, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at The Berea Health Care Center. She was a life-long resident of Madison County born July 31, 1919, daughter of the late Daniel and Lena Evans Payne, retired Westinghouse employee, and member of Silver Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include 1 son and daughter in law, Teddy and Diane Croley; 1 granddaughter, Whitney (Kenny Lowder) Croley; 1 great granddaughter, Emily Lowder; 1 brother, Vernon "Peanut" Payne; and 1 son in law, Leonard Sparks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Croley; 2 children, Mildred Sparks, Alton Ray Croley; 1 grandson, Zachary Croley; and 8 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Service 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Reppert Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 - 9:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Prewitt, John Bowman, Johnny Reed, Pete Carpenter, Roger Hume, Nathan Bowman.
