Alene Payne Croley, 94, of Berea, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at The Berea Health Care Center. She was a life-long resident of Madison County born July 31, 1919, daughter of the late Daniel and Lena Evans Payne, retired Westinghouse employee, and member of Silver Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include 1 son and daughter in law, Teddy and Diane Croley; 1 granddaughter, Whitney (Kenny Lowder) Croley; 1 great granddaughter, Emily Lowder; 1 brother, Vernon "Peanut" Payne; and 1 son in law, Leonard Sparks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Croley; 2 children, Mildred Sparks, Alton Ray Croley; 1 grandson, Zachary Croley; and 8 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Service 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Reppert Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Berea Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 - 9:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Prewitt, John Bowman, Johnny Reed, Pete Carpenter, Roger Hume, Nathan Bowman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Fred Davis, Kenny Davis, Larry Chadwick, Wade Gay, Doug Prewitt, Billy King.
