1888 Dec 14 - The Rochester Post
We are informed of the death, at Eagle Pass, Texas, on the 17 of November, of Dr. S. S. Bedal, who was the son of Capt. Bedal at one time a resident of Eyota, and studied medicine with Dr. Cross, of this city. Dr. Bedal, the day before, ate some oysters at a restraurant and within an hour was taken with cramps of the stomach and bowels, and growing worse, died on the evening of the 17th. The cause of his death is believed to have been lead poisoning.
