LAVALE — Albert "Dale" Lacy, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born Oct. 31, 1935 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Robert John Lacy and Mary Susan (Wimer) Lacy.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Ann (Means) Lacy; his son, Michael Brian Lacy and wife Gwen, Ijamsville; his daughter, Rebecca Jane (Lacy) Mann and husband Eric, Boonsboro; three grandchildren, Jacob Mann, Matthew Lacy, and Megan Lacy; and a brother, Robert Lacy and wife Nancy, LaVale.
Dale was a graduate of Allegany High School, class of 1953, and Catherman's Business School.
He served an enlistment in the U.S. Navy.
Dale was retired from the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, having worked in the Accounting Department.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Cumberland.
He enjoyed traveling and playing golf.
In accordance with Dale's wishes, he will be cremated.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene Street, Cumberland, on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.
A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Caroline Kelly officiating.
Inurnment will take place at Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
