Following a week's illness. Mrs. Catherine Allison Gibbs, aged 88 years, died at 6:50 o'clock this morning at the residence of Mrs. Henry Peterson near Calcutta, death being due to pneumonia. Deceased was one of the oldest residents of this vicinity, having spent practically her entire life in this community. She was born in West Virginia in 1829, coming here in her early youth. Six children survive; Mrs. Owen Swearengin, of Fairview; Frank and Clem Gibbs, of Charlestown, W.Va.; Mrs. Mary Lynn, of Sewickley, Pa.; and Mrs. Henry Peterson, of Calcutta. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at the residence of Mrs. Owen Swearengin of Fairview. Interment will be made in the Flats cemetery.
