YORK - Ralph J. S. Becker, 85, of West York, died Wednesday evening at Rest Haven Nursing Home. He was the husband of Grace R. (Eyster)Becker. The couple observed their 63rd wedding anniversary on November 14.

The service will be will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Robert F. Koller Funeral Home Inc., 2000 W. Market St., York. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Becker was born March 24, 1916, in York. He was the son of the late Irvin R. and Ethel B. (Smith) Becker. He worked at York Electro-Panel Control Co. Inc., retiring in 1970 as manager of material control. He was a member of Shiloh American Legion, Viking Athletic Association, Yankee Club, Toastmaster International and other civil organizations; he was a scoutmaster for Troop 21 in West York.

He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Mr. Becker also is survived by a son, Robert E. Becker of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; a daughter, Joan L. Crone of Dover; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Irvin R. Becker Jr. of York.

Officiating will be the Rev. Andrew Phillips of Providence
Presbyterian Church in York. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2001 N. Front St., Building 2, Suite 321, Harrisburg 17102; or to the Visiting Nurses Association, 218 E. Market St., York 17403.
