James J. Helveston, 65, of 4476 Armeda Ave., Ft. Myers, died Wednesday. He had been a lifetime resident of Ft. Myers.
He is survived by two sons, Joel Helveston of North Ft. Myers and James R. Helveston of Naples; two daughters, Charlene Dohle of Lake Jackson, Texas and Marcia Ray of Freeport, Texas; and brother, Earl Helveston of Tice; two sisters, Beatrice Bronson and Leola Edeker, bot of Tice; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services at Leo W. Engelhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Indian Spring Cemetery in Punta Gorda.
Pallbearers will be Tom Tazznoff, Grady Helveston, James Helveston, Joe Yeoman, A. C. Arnold and Skip dohle. (Fort Myers News-Press, 7/11/80)
